Volunteer

Looking to get involved in the movement to end domestic and sexual violence? Apply to volunteer with Hanover Safe Place! We offer a variety of volunteer positions with flexibility to fit with your schedule, skill set, and interests.

 

If you are looking to work directly with survivors or to educate the community, you must complete a 40-hour volunteer training. This training is offered three times per year in winter, spring, and fall. If you are looking to provide support to our agency at our Resource Center or with special events, you must complete an 8-hour volunteer training which is offered several times throughout the year.

 

Volunteer Positions:

  • Court Advocacy – volunteers assist clients in our court office

  • Regional Hospital Accompaniment Response Team (RHART) – volunteers provide supportive accompaniment services at local hospitals

  • Hotline – volunteers answer hotline calls and assist callers

  • Office Assistance – volunteers assist with office tasks at our Resource Center

  • Outreach – volunteers support outreach efforts in the local community

  • Speaker’s Bureau – volunteers participate in short public speaking engagements

  • Special Event – volunteers provide support for fundraising efforts and other events

  • Youth Services – volunteers assist with children and youth
